Need a Gunsmith to install a new barrel on my Marlin M-36

I have a bubba altered Marlin M-36 in 30-30 with a 20" bbl. I have a 24" NOS M-336 32 spl bbl I would like to have fitted to the M-36 action. Does anyone know of a Gunsmith who can do this work? My plan includes changing the forend to the metal capped type with a 3/4 magazine like a 36-A.

There is a gunsmith on the forum who does such work, even specializes in lever actions but I can't recall his name at the moment. It may be John Taylor. I'm sure another member will be along to confirm that information.
    Sounds like an interesting project!

Just finished a 336 in 375 with an octagon barrel and full length mag.

John has worked on 2 of my old Marlins, an 1893 and an 1894. Both were over a 100 years old. Even though I live in NJ, I wouldn't think of sending any of my guns to anyone else.

Contact Steve Young at Steve Gunz (512)564-1015

    He specializes in lever guns.

Steve Young likes the Winchester/Rossi 92 but is good on any of the lever guns. Does a lot of the SASS guns.
