OverMax, Would those "flints" be white chert and did you by chance purchase them from Rich Pierce? If it was Rich, you and others should know that he's retired from knapping and has moved to Vermont.

It's a joke. What with primers costing more than loaded ammo and all that.

Yep Maven its the same guy. I didn't have his name written down here so I guessed at his first name. Been a long time. Yes the flints are white/beige looking. Don't resemble a English or French chert. If Mr. pierce moved to Vermont I wish him well in his retirement. As far as my original T/c flint lock. I surely didn't know such T/c locks were that valuable. (250.00)

Hey and those primers are reusable!
Those who choose violence as a first option are typically confronted by somebody else using violence as a last resort.

Yes they are re-usable and the way things are going politically and manufacture wise, we may have to go back to them.

primer & flint are both different spelling & words. try putting a flint on a percussion gun, and a cap on a flinter?

Seriously? What is the purpose of each one?

Don't worry about it. toot is either trying to be funny, or the most blatantly upfront as they come satire just went clean over his head.
