6.5x55 C.A. headstamp = Century Arms by Norma

Don't recall exactly when these were available. I bought 100 rds, 5 boxes for $10/box. I'm thinking it was between 1980-1985 or so. Bullets were 140 gr SP. Excellent Norma ammo.

Century Arms in St.Alban, Vermont was the hot ticket importer of milsurp guns for decades. Their import stamp at first was CIA then they regained their sanity and its been CAI ever since.

Likely Serbian / PPU make you think? I know the PPU I shoot in 6.5x55 has held up as good as Lapua and Norma so far.

I was given about 75 CA cases for my Swede, loaded them up last week. I had heard somewhere they were Norma. They are real 6.5 cases, can't use the same shell holder as my Remington cases.

I also have 99 pcs of nos Herter's brass, the boxes state Made in Sweden. There are four complete boxes with some shelf wear and one inner sleeve with 19 pcs. Almost hate to use it but I will put it to good use.
