    Rolling Block Stock Question

    He's a question I can't seem to find an answer to: If I buy a buttstock that has been inletted for a Remington Sporter Rolling Block can I make it fit on a No1 or maybe No 5 Military action? I know on the commercial rifles the lower tang is longer than the upper but are both no longer than the military tang?? I know the commercials are thinner than the military and I would have to widen that inletting. Not sure if my question is clear but thanks for reading it anyway!

    IIRC, the No 1 is rated for BP; the No 5 is the same pattern as the No 1, but rated for smokeless (IDK the difference) - but I would check with these folks:
