I have a RCBS 32-170-FN. Would like to try a couple more but it seems it and the nonexistent Lyman are the only two commercial offerings and the custom folks have too many untried versions to choose from.

I don't have one, so this is guesswork.
Depending on size (diameter) needed, you may be able to use some of the lighter or midrange 8mm molds. IIRC the .32 Winchester Special is supposed to have a .321" groove diameter, while many of the 8mm molds are built for a .323" groove.
May work, may not, but it is something to think about.

Your memory is excellent, you are correct. I have considered 8mm but was hoping for first hand experience with the 32. Failing that, I'll give an 8 a try. Thanks for trying.

Mk42Gunner is right on, lots of 8mm molds out there that will work. Most 32 spl rifles will take a bigger bullet than .321" so you have many options. In mine I normally use a fat 30 cal bullet of .314" or so and paper patch it. They come out to right at .325" and shoot great.
The bore on my .32sp measures .320 I tried .323's and got poor results. .321's work great.
You anywhere near Nortonville KY,, between hopkinsville & madisonville ?
I only ask because I was in the tiny local hardware store a few weeks ago and spotted they had only 2 boxes of ammo in the whole store...
2 boxes of remmy 32 win special marked $9.99ea...
I use Lee 324-175GC and an old Lyman 321427GC-- both sized 0.323 in My Win 94 32WS
Hick: Iron sights!
I have a lee DC 173gr RN that I powdercoat and size 321 for 1500fps, size, lube and gas check and run the hotter loads up around 2000fps, works good out of 2 pre 64 94;s
That RCBS bullet is golden in my Winchester 32WSP. If I were to deviate, I would seek a bullet from the Accurate Mold selection. With the excellent results I receive from the RCBS bullet however, it doesn't make much sense for me to try other bullets. I figure you have tried different powders if accuracy is the issue?

Thanks all! I'll get some of the RCBS cast and tried, sounds like it should take care of my needs. Yovinny, thanks for the offer, sounds like a Kentuckian.

About the only thing I have wished for in regards to boolits for my Marlin is a 120 grain design similar to the Lee .30 caliber soup can and a plain base design in the same weight.
