    ruger bearcat value

is the ruger bearcat .22 sought after and valuable? What would be a realistic fair market value?
    thanks

Condition First..then there were Early and Late.. Then I suspect many other factors.. Just had a Friend go thru all that... He bought a H&R999 and walked away a very happy man!!!

If it's an early or current production there's a little interest. If it's a early second generation with the magnum cylinder it's very desirable.

I seldom see one of any vintage, in decent shape, priced any less than $500. FWIW.

I would ask no less than 600.00 for it.

I'm amazed of the cost of revolvers and quality handguns sell for these days. a lot of 2 of them without boxes sold for $1265 last month.

Everything costs more these days; you just need to get used to it.

The new Bearcats, they are still made, and they are great guns, are selling for $600 plus, you add to that for older models, best shape, box, papers, etc and go up from there. It is knowing what you are looking at, not just a Bearcat, but what, when it was made, grip panels, size of serial #, etc. Any marks in the aluminum finish detract.
In the pair, as pictured, the most valuable is the first model Bearcat, polymer grips, no grip medallions, etc. 1/8” serial number, aluminum cylinder frame. As new, box with papers, a very nice pair.

if they have red eagles on the grips thats a plus also. It helps to date them

    .

AFAIK, Ruger only put red eagle medallions on some of their .22 autoloading pistols.
