Favorite Lee .30cal molds ?

Well Lee molds are finally back and plentiful at normal price figured I can start getting some in anticipation for my 30cals. Just curious though. For .308,30-06,7.62x39 and 7.62x54r what are out favorite Lee molds ?

While I do not have any Lee .30 cal molds, from what I have read the Ed Harris designs would be exactly what you're looking for.

Lee 309-170 GC in my 30-30, 309-200GC in my 30-06, 312-155GC in my 7.62x39

The Lee 150fn killed a lot of deer for me till I got the NOE RD 165HP and then I really like the Lee 309-200 rn it killed a lot of deer and also shot great out of my Garand

Also like the 309-200-1R for 30-40 Krag and 30-06. And the 311-100-2R tumblecoated works as an economical plinker for just about any 30 cal cartridge.

Lee C 312-185 RN with gas check shank removed. Sized to .311 for .308, .30-30, sized .313 for 7.62X39

Hard to beat the 6-cavity tl 312-160-2r in the 308w.

That bullet can be pc'd or used with traditional lube with lt added.

The Lee 312-185. They market it as being for the .303 British, but it works fine in my .30 caliber rifles.

I use a Hornady gas check and size it to .311" for most of them, mine drops ACWW @ .3127".

My first 30 cal was C309-113-F to use as economical plinker in very reduced 30-30 and 30-06 .
It was OK but mainly a up close tin can buster / paper target puncher & saved lead . This boolit and 10 grains Unique was my daughters favorite 30-30 load ... she enjoyed shooting this one a lot .

"The Load or What You can Do With 13 grains of Red Dot" inspired me to buy a C309-170-F for use in the 30-06 ... which upped the ante' on this load ...50 yards got good groups and it was no longer a powder-puff load .
I use the Lee C309-170-F in : 30-30 , 30-06 and 7.5 Swiss ( K-11 Schmidt-Rubin) with various charges of Red Dot , Unique and H4895 ... reduced recoil and regular loadings ... the sweet spot seems to be at 1600 fps or a little higher in the 30 cal. rifles . Always use a gas check if the boolit is cut for one .

I also have the C312-185-1R for use in a 303 British Enfield No. 4 MK I .
Which fits my nice BSA made Enfield ...the barrel measures exactly .311" !!!
.303" + .004" + .004" = .311"...SWEET ! the .312" Lee Boolit should work just fine .

I was also thinking of sizing that boolit to .311" and see how it would work in my 1903-A3 Springfield's 2-groove barrel ... I've never tried .311" boolits in it and the larger diameter might be something to look at . That 2-groove barrel has always had me wondering if I needed something larger than the .309" size I normaly shoot in it ... another project I need to get a roundtuitt for.

Only .30 mold I have is the Lee 170 FN. I know it's supposed to be a 30-30 bullet but sure shoots fine in a Savage 30-06 with "The Load"
13 gr. Red Dot. As accurate as any jacketed load worked up in that rifle out to 100 yards. Not tried shooting it farther.

(I'm sure a better marksman would benefit from the different bullet weights Lee offers but the 170 FN handles my target needs from 50 yards to 200 yards.) One bullet for four rifles is convenient.

The 113, 150, and 170gr Flat nose Trifecta have worked very well for me in several thirty caliber rifles.
