    DACaM Power Pods

I have been Looking for a power trimmer for over a year now. Most of the trimmers I've seen are Pricey but seen only to do newer modern cases, 223 ,308 . you can get custom chucks for caliber wanted. Since i only shoot antique Rifles , They were not for me
I looked @ the Gracey, Jen 3, Giraud.
Then I came across DACaM . Since I like My Fosters But don't Like the Crank , I purchased one . I found it to be a Great machine for existing manual trimmers.
    quick , easy and fast
Both of my shoulders are messed up so cranking was painful. This piece solved the Problem

I wish they made one for Lyman... I have the drill shaft for mine, but it is a pain as it wants to flop around when you let go of the drill and it also tends to come out of the driver chuck when you pull the shaft back.

But, they do have the power drive cutter shaft. This would be a perfect mate. I asked to and will point them to the second shaft.

Hello salpal48, I just started another thread asking about this unit. I guess I should have done a search first.

Can you tell me about the construction of this unit? The case is obviously 3D printed. How is the output shaft supported/bushed?
Any new information or surprises after using it for a few more months?

    Thanks for any insights.

If you Have been on His website You will see it slides on a Aluminum Rail. The trimmed is supported through there Mount Hole with a kit that also mounts to the rail. Then the trimmer can slide to any Position on that rail then Tighten Up for your Used.. The unit is Trimmer specific , Say Forster, You must Remove your Handle only . There is a Bushing Provided that mounts To the front to unit, I side Screws into your cutter , the Other in The front of the unit. Then the entire Unit is installed back together . At most a 1
half hour Job. . There is no need to disassemble it later . Place On a shelf complete for future Use. The motor Is a high speed and Very fast. The slowest part is just Changing Your case depending on your rhythm. Hope this helps

Thank you! One last question… Is there a bushing or bearing of some sort where the output shaft from the unit comes through the plastic case?

Yes, The pod itself Is somewhat generic to all units. The connector Bushing is set up for what You order. Forster, Rcbs, lyman. and whatever else . The one I have for the Lyman Universal ,You Have to use the Lyman Power adaptor and that is a Hex fit
