    .30-30 success

It has been a long road but the Marlin Centennial has finally come around. With a couple of ranging shots I was able to hit a clay bird on the 200 yard berm. Happiness .

About the same load I use with the 185 GC version of the RD. Works well. Loaded some with unique and 145gr PB to try, got new electronic muffs I want to try, hoping for a bit warmer day.
    Whatever!

gordie, sent you a pm about some ranch dog slugs.
I firmly believe that you should only get treated by how you act, not by who or what you are!!

    Great shooting!!

3031 has always been a good choice!

In my Savage 340 - 30/30 using IMR4198 is the rule. Shooting your group size but only @ 100yards. Also with peep sights.

Just to clarify. The target is 100 yards. I did hit a clay bird on the 200 yard berm once I got the holdover right. Target is NOT 200 yards.
