    Warped stock

Well, I went to fire Knight disc extreme, to confirm it was season ready, and my first surprise was hitting 4" to the right, followed by a scope adjustment and more hitting 4" to the right. Kept adjusting and shooting, and lost track of where I'm hitting. After a couple of "sounders" on a larger target, I discover I'm hitting 10" high. Scope's tight, ammo's good.... Time to put it away and regroup... plan on using something else for muzzleloader season. On examination, there are several odd, shiny spots in the barrel channel, so I'm going to have to do some scraping and float my barrel. I may get it done before the beginning of the year,or not, but I found it interesting to be reminded that modern muzzleloaders are subject to some of the same accuracy destroying problems as breechloaders!

I had the same problem some years ago. Discovered the scope was bad.

10" is a lot to be off because of a Bedding issue.
But it is the correct place to start.
It is not that a BP barrel really is effected by free floating the barrel.
But pressure points could cause the POI to be off a little.
I too would then check out that scope.

I had a problem with a new scope. No amount of adjustment would move the point of impact. I removed the scope in case it was binding. Put it back on and impact changed so I thought it was fixed. Still didn't move when adjusting.

I use my Laser Bore Sighter to check the scope adjustments
