    I have this old mold.......

I've got an nicely made aluminum mold, single cavity. It's been anodized black. Vent lines on one block but not the other. Round steel alignment pins.

I haven't tried to figure out which handles it will fit.

    Stamped: MA 54

    M 4891

No other markings. It appears to be a Maxiball style boolit in approximately a 54 caliber guessing eyeball/crude measurement with a caliper.

Anybody have a clue of manufacturer?

I have no clue where I got it. I've bought weird stuff in the past. But this is something I would never use.

I think the Mold Fairies snuck it in one night just to confuse me.

Like I need any help in that department.

    What say ye?

Without a picture, and with the brief description, I would hazard a guess at it being a TC mould.

That was my first thought, I've never dealt with T/C molds, I thought they were all iron molds from Lyman and I would have expected them to have a T/C logo or some other kind of marking.

Always thought T/C was bright enough to label anything they sold.

But I've been wrong before. I'm married.

Just do a quick search for "Thompson center 54 cal maxi ball mould"

All of mine are anodized aluminum

TC molds were made from Mehenite also IIRC. It is very light weight and blues easily. If so Lee handles fit it.
