    WTS 375 Whelen - Nice Thumper!

    Selling my 375 Whelen that is built upon a Springfield 1903A3 Smith-Corona.

    It is a rebore by JES and retains its original 24" barrel. This is an old school type rifle with a Fajen Monte Carlo stock with Williams Iron Sights. It is not drilled and tapped. Stock and metal are in in overall very good shape. I bought this rifle a couple years back and I was going to re-finish and dress this one up but then fell in love with the 9.3x62mm so letting this one go. Nice figure in the stock which is hard to find these days.

    If you like Thumpers then this one might fit the bill...

    $675 plus shipping to FFL from an individual (non-FFL) otherwise will have to tack on the fees.

    What might be the year / month of production of the receiver ? First 5 # is sufficient.

    Yes, Redding dies with the tapered expander are the way to go.

    In college (Miss State), I worked part time for the local gunsmith. He would let me occasionally shoot his Westley Richards, in 375 H&H. I used his molds and cast and loaded his data for it… i still remember it as a great experience.… I never owned my owned English double but I had had a fine old model 70 from the 50’s that served me well. This 375-06 should be hoot…
