    Star die removal tool

Anyone know of a source for the tool to remove dies from the Star lube sizer?

i just use a piece of dowel rod and push the die up from the bottom. A little heat from a hair dryer where the die is held can help get it loose.

Ditto on lathesmith. Look in the stickies in the Star section.

You might check the thread or sticky on star sizers for all your $tar needs.

I suppose it might be hard for some to find the " The Star Equipment Corner" that is a sub forum of casting equipment thread. After all it is well hidden right at the top of that form

The early model star lubers had a set screw for the die it was done away with on the later models there is a thread on this site which will confirm my statement about star machines especially the early models which incorporated bronze in the machine.

I knew. I looked for preowned but there was a bump in demand 4 years ago and I waited a couple months for a new one. Now you can't even get on the list.
