Hi everybody.
I have a M87 lever action copy of the Winchester 1887 that I want to turn into a rifled barrel slug gun.
It currently has the 20" smooth bore barrel. I have a Savage 24" take off barrel from the mod 200? Bolt action. I also have an ER Shaw 24" rifled blank.
I was hoping to be able to use the Savage barrel. I'm not sure what the barrel threads are on the M87, anybody know? If nothing else, maybe cut thr threaded shank off and retread for the M87? This would probably leave the chamber short, so it may need to be adjusted.
I don't have my lathe anymore, so I'll have to find someone willing to take on the project.
Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance.
