First deer with a Lee 457-340-RF

I was blessed yesterday afternoon with this fine Ohio buck. Also first with my Marlin 1895, using the Lee bullet pc'd. They dropped out of my mold at .458-9. Run thru my .459 sizer die with a little friction and driven with 41g of R 7. Shot was close, 10 yards actually...never got close to me while bowhunting always one step ahead especially this last three weeks , also seen more rubs appear in this time. He was out checking his scrapes when I spotted him..

Thanks all for the comments, as I was butchering him yesterday that bullet made a 1” diameter hole going in, being so close and me 20 feet up , I aimed for the scapula and hit lower breaking a rib, taking out the arteries on his heart and another rib on the way out. His lungs were jelly.

    Good morning and Congratulations !
    Yes... God does Bless !
Thank you for the good write-up and photo ! That is one fine looking buck ! One of your shafts would have been just as good but sometimes it just is not how it is all planned out. I rejoice with you !

    10 yards!!! Nice deer.
I shot a hog at that range once, as he approached the edge of the dry creek in which I was standingin at the base of the neck, out between the shoulders.
    FLIP!!! thud. DRT.
    What a hoot!
