Burris Fullfield IV reticle illuminated Ballistic E3

I recently acquired said riflescope. Tonight I tried it, and I noticed that when I turned on its reticule on one of its lines it looks like a thin filament, is that normal or is it a fault?
It only appears when the grid is on and at the highest intensities, from 7 to 11.

    Is it a manufacturing defect?

That sure looks like a defect to me.

Burris has gone to china for their Full Field and Signature series at least. I've bought my last from them.

I own more Burris U.S.A. built scopes than any other brand, Fullfield, Signature, and Mini. I like their old U.S.A. built scopes enough that I bought them over Leupold, however I won't buy chinese made junk optics no matter who's name is on it. I would still buy a used Burris U.S.A. scope though if the price is reasonable.

Astigmatism perhaps? Take a photo through the scope with the illumination on and see if it's still there.
