i am trying to find a mold to make my own lead 50 cal sabbots. my sabbots mic at 11.08mm or .436" what mold do i use?

.436 Sounds like 44 cal mold should be the one. Should throw a .430 or slightly larger GW

Welcome to this site!! I am not clear on this. Are you trying to make a mold for plastic sabots for a 50 cal muzzleloader or the boolits that go in the sabots?? I have been using sabots for 429 boolits in my 50 cal muzzleloader for elk and longer range mule deer for a couple decades. If you are asking about a mold for the boolits, most any semi wad cutter mold works fine but my most accurate has been to make 265 gr SWC's.

Back when I was shooting muzzleloader sabots, the sabots I had spec'd 44 cal boolits
This one is 310gr, Depending on your rifle's twist, it'll be a good one for hunting.

With that said, I prefer to shoot patched Round Ball in my 50 cal side lock

For best answer we really need the rifling twist in your barrel. If it is an inline with a fast twist, longer, heavier bullets will work better. If it is a slower twist it will still work with minie, REAL, etc and lighter sabot bullets. If it is a round ball twist, then sabots are kind of a waste of time and you should stick to round ball. Might get away with REAL or minie but you'd have to shoot them to see and you may need to use heavy charges for higher muzzle vel.

Look at Accurate Molds website. He can cut you almost anything you can imagine. They are not inexpensive, but they are incredibly well made molds.

Track of the Wolf should have those in alum (Lee) or Iron (Lyman).
