I would rather not part with this rifle, but I need to thin out the herd, so up for sale is my Winchester Model 1892 that was manufactured in 1906 (328xxx). The caliber is 44-40 (44 W.C.F.) I would say it is in very good condition. The wood is solid with very few dents and dings and there is no rust on the metal. There are 2 hairline/surface cracks that don’t appear to be deep. One is just behind the end of the tang on the left and the other is at the butt plate on right side (left side has nothing). See photos. Mechanically it operates and shoots fine. The action works perfectly, cartridges load, chamber, shoot, and eject as they should. Metal on the barrel has a mostly brown and gray patina with the receiver, lever, butt plate and tube still showing 85-90% or so bluing. The bore is shiny with sharp rifling and a few spots toward the middle.
