    Silent Killer

Rumors of a silent killer abound after a Jane Doe was found dead in the woods a week ago. An eyewitness saw the whole thing happen but never heard a shot just a quick twang. Now another victim has just been discovered not far from the first. This time it was a young adult male approximately 3 1/2 years old. He is being called Buck Ten by those involved in the case until his identity can be ascertained. Sources claim he was struck by a razor sharp projectile from above that pierced both lungs leaving 2 inch holes through both. The coroner said he had never seen so much internal bleeding. It seems Buck Ten traveled approximately 100 yards after sustaining the injury before he collapsed. "During the autopsy, I thought there were two livers at first, then I realized the second one was actually a blood clot bigger than the actual liver" said the coroner. "During gun season, no one expects not to hear anything," said the police chief. More information as the story unfolds.

    nice work on the deer,

140 inch should cover it? shouldnt be tooooo hard to get a rough score, No its not for Boone an Crockett, but it will give you a rough idea... best way to measure them is when they are dead, as yours is

many methods covered online, SCI and other American type Methods to score, none of which is useful to an Aussie.

nice shaped buck though, happy days

    140 is Pope and Young.

Put a tape measure on my deer. I do not claim that these are accurate numbers but my hope of getting close to 140 is a pipe dream, I think. I came up with gross of 132 and net of 128 5/8. This is likely not accurate and also the antlers are too fresh to be officially scored, but I might have a chance of making the Pope and Young minimum of 125. I want to emphasize that I am not a trophy hunter. I did not shoot this deer thinking it was a record deer. I knew it had decent antlers and it turned out to be my personal best. My goal was just to get a decent, mature buck with my bow and to get some more venison in the freezer. Done and done. Can't ask for more than that.
