Would like to have this on my front porch.
So when the local knuckleheads ride down the road with the bass thumping.
I can answer them with my own bass thumper!!!!!!

    That's funny.

A while back I could hear the boom box
from near a mile away - an Amish kid
in his buggy. When he got to my house
I flagged him down and asked him to
turn it down. Thankfully he did.

    I've always wanted a cannon.
Small one, like a swivel deck gun.

I remember visiting that canon almost fifty years ago.

There are four, I believe, at the Spanish-American War Memorial in Arlington National Cemetery. Bronze rifled muzzleloaders. Very interesting.

Want to see some really nice cannon--go to Fort St. Augustine in Florida. They have a cannoneer's instruction class that they run but I do not know what weeks. I did not know about it and I visited one week too late to get to become a certified cannoneer. I may find out the date they are giving that school and try to go back and be certified. james

As a former US Navy Gunner's Mate, I can appreciate that saying with many groans of memory...

I always wanted to paint the wedding band on my 5"/54.

Since I retired I have not shined brightwork, the tarnished look is in.

Fortunately the insides of main battle tanks didn't have any brightwork

We did clean and paint them a lot

    I wish I'd had something as modern as a 5"54...I had 3"50s...
