    Bergara/Winchester

I've seen a couple of these Winchester branded Bergara rifles in the last week or so . They seem like rather nice rifles , one was plastic stock and blued , the other was wood stock and stainless steel .

The plastic stocked version was a combo that came with a Konus scope already mounted ( crooked ) . So I fixed that and sighted it in , it took only twelve shots for it to settle in . Might have been just because it was new or the scope wasn't tracking right . I don't know but it's on now so venison should be in it's future .

The other is my Pastors rifle , he had the gun shop mount and bore sight a Leupold scope . It was very easy to get it working right , now it I can just get Pastor to schedule some practice time with it . Just a hardwood stock but still it looks rather nice .

By the way , both scopes have the elevation turret tuned for hunting ammo that's a nice touch .

I don't know much about them, but from what little I've seen they look like decent rifles. What calibers did you get?

I have a couple of Bergara rifles and can't say enough good about them.
Bergara has been around forever and I would imagine isn't going away soon. The Winchester marriage sounds wonderful!!!

Both are chambered in the 350 legend . The cartridge seems to be gaining a lot of ground with hunters here in the land of falling waters .

I put together a black rifle in the 350 legend. Most accurate pile of parts I have ever shot. I killed a big doe last week and she ran about 3 jumps. The caliber is great, I need to check out the Winchester bolt guns.

I had not seen anything on Bergara and Winchester.

Used to be that FN owned Win and Browning and produced the bolt guns. They kept the arrangement with Miroku. So, did FN choose to farm out the bolt guns to Bergara or did they buy Bergara as well?
