Mystery mold, at least to me

I am attaching pictures of a Lyman mold stamped 42498. I cannot find this mold in the Lyman cast book. I vaguely remember using it many years ago when I shot a lot of 44-40. The bullet I show next to it was poorly cast so it is useless try an get a measurement. Anyone else have this number mold?

It is indeed for the 44-40 or 44WCF. It's a 205 or 210 grain Round Flat nose style, and was very popular back in the day.

Thanks Shooter. I had several 1892 in 44-40 caliber Winchester rifles in the ,60s & 70s. The bullet pictured was probably cast over 40 years ago.

Jack, those bullets are beautifully cast and I see they are hollow point. They feed much better thru the lever action that the Keith design, at least for me.

    THANKS!!!
I have used the Hornady 240gr SWC HP with no problems in my Marlin 1894CB, never tried them in my Winchester 1873.
