    Top punch for Lyman 35891

I have a RCBS lubrasizer coming and I need to get the correct top punch and sizing die for it. I am pretty sure I need the .358 sizing die, but I am not sure what top punch I need for the Lyman 35891 bullets that I am casting.

Lyman #495 should be the right one.

Or, get any .358 SWC punch and fill the nose with JB weld, then sand it flat.

Ya need ta get a Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, latest version. It’s got all the dies, top punch’s, I think it might even have a chart for Lee boolets ( sorry to lazy to get up and look). Not to Mention the plethora of other useful information and load data and it!

I custom fit a SWC to fit the WC boolit with a little J-B Weld Epoxy Putty ...thinking it would fall out sooner or later ...that was 25 years ago at least and I'm still using it for WC seating .

A flat punch will also seat them ... in fact a flat one will seat ANY boolit with a flat spot on it ...
Truth be known I've seated a bunch of RN boolits with a flat punch when I was in a hurry and didn't feel like looking for the RN punch ...worked just fine !

I found a 495 on ebay. Thanks for the recommendations. I have the 3rd edition of the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook, it was sitting way back in my reference library, but I could not find the punch chart in it. I guess I will need to upgrade to the latest version.
