BP and Cheddite are doing great supplying primers. I wish shot was as ample.

$251 shipped for 5k = $.0502 each that's almost back to pre OBAMA

Not really Chedditte’s were about half that price before the Obamass . And Winchesters were less than $150 a sleeve .

You are correct, my statement should have been MID-OBAMA, pre OBAMA my LGS had primers @ $29 per 1K

It's at least a sign primers can return to sanity price. 3 years ago, $40 a thousand wasn't even a good price for Federal or Winchester primers. I went all in when Federal 209A's were on sale for $31 per thousand, with a 1/2 hazmat fee. I could live with $40 a thousand.

Shot is one of the few things not in severe shortage. BPI has most sizes in stock. The only problem with shot is that it is way too expensive, but it has been way too expensive for 10 years now. I doubt the prices will ever come down at this point.

I am fairly stocked up for a long time thank God...

one nice thing about loading shotshell yourself.. a few years back all my buddies were saying "not cost effective when walmart had em for X dollars..." and they did not stock up enough... they been looking at me a bit crossways this last year cuz I have shotshells. most did not think the shortages would effect shotshell, but i stocked up anyway and will be back out after Duck and Wolves tomorrow.

Marko, I’m on the same wavelength with ya!! “ I ain’t spending MY money on reloading when WalMart has them for........”” so, fast forward a couple years, and now, it’s like “ heyyyy , brother, you still reloading them ole shotshells? I can’t find none at WalMart no more!” I’m in a bind, ..................welllll, you shoulda listened to some of my advice couple years ago. That $200 hundred dollars looks kinda worth it now, huh? Life lessons are sometimes learned the painful way!!!

Several years ago I started loading everything I could, home rolled slugs, round ball loads, buckshot and birdshot in the thousands for myself and my boys. 9mm and 270s. I’m hogtamer and I guess I’m a prepper too.

I acquired twelve 25 pound bags of copper plated 7 1/2’s . Friend had a whole bunch he had acquired a number of years ago and wanted the largest Stihl chainsaw I had but rarely used . So he was happy and I was happy getting copper plated for less than the cost of magnum grade . And yes I shoot the copper stuff at clay targets .
