    gas check thicness

just receive some .375 gas check
and I noticed that they are .062 thick
and all my other .458 and .308 are .074
thickness I mean from the bottom (underside) of the cup to the top of the crimping section
my question is will the .375 grip enough on the bullet shank
haven' receive my accurate mold in .375 yet

    thank you Canuck

As long as you get a good tight crimp on them, they should do fine. Obviously these are the "rifle" checks. I'd rather have a shorter check than a too long check.

What was length of the shank on your upcoming Accurate mold?

That shank length seems to be about standard for his .375" bullets. I still think you'll
be fine as long as the GC crimps on tightly. If you lube, you'll just have a little bit more lube down there and won't notice that extra .02", and if you PC it'll be pretty much the same deal.

I see where Sage's has a .065" copper GC listed instead of a taller one. They do have a .100" tall aluminum check listed but that would be too much.
