Hi-Tek and baking after a few days

Since I'm doing big batches of coating while casting boolits I would like to heat treat some of the boolits the next day or two. I sometimes get in a hurry before leaving for my afternoon shift, and things does not always go as planned. I'm sure you know.

Has anyone tried this after applying the coating with acceton? The longest I've waited until now is a couple of hours before getting them into the oven.

If drying in a dust free environment impact the coating and its properties in any negative way I'll not do this. This is in my heated casting shop. So it newer gets cold or humid in any way.

    Thanks

I have heat treated hitek coated during the second coat (rifle bullets), just cook @ 400 for an hour then into ice water from the oven. Coating gets dark but still works (old gold powder I used). PC is easier for me.
    Whatever!

Should not be a problem. At least you know they are dry and the acetone is gone.

I have left coated and un-baked bullets on the shelf for 2 weeks.
Then baked them and no problems at all.
    Hooroo.
    Regards, Trevor.
