WTB: Big muzzleloader in need of TLC

I'm looking for a .54 or larger caliber rifled muzzleloader- civil war style or older. Flintlock or percussion ok.

I'm hoping to find one that could use stock refinishing and/or just a little work here and there. It would make a fun winter project. I would take the time to make a good rifle beautiful.

Bore must be in very good or better condition. I want to shoot and hunt with it quite a bit.

ALL OFFERS APPRECIATED. Thank you for your time.

I slimmed down the listing quite a bit- it's a little easier on the eyes now.

I can drive as far as St. Louis, Nashville, North MS, and most all of Arkansas to meet. I'm also willing to work out shipping arrangements.

If you want a top notch bore, you are probably only going to find it in a gun that has been very well maintained and won’t really need other restauration. Have you considered a kit gun for your project?

I appreciate the advice. Yeah, if I don't happen to find the right rifle this week, I'll be giving those kits a pretty close look.

I have a reproduction rifle that I bought from a friend. It's a springfield 1861 caplock or similar, maybe it's an 1855. I can send images if you would like.
