    Lee 2-Cavity Bullet Mold 429-200

I have a Henry 44mag rifle that likes .431 cast bootlits.
Anyone know what size bullet the Lee 2-Cavity Bullet Mold 429-200 will drop?
Will be casting with MBC's hardball.

I casted about 300 of these I guess about two years ago so I can’t remember what they dropped at but I do know that I sized them to .431….so a bit bigger than that out of the mold. I do know they are 18 bhn which accounts for the larger diameter.

If it’s the RF design, I am lucky as it’s pretty close to .431. I leave them unsized and water hardened for my 1894 44 mag. micro groove. No leading but I am mostly shooting light cowboy loads.

The current production 2 cav molds from Lee (post-2013) run pretty close to what's advertised, so expect .429 if you buy a new one.
I have an older style 200gr RF mold that runs large, a hair over .430
...Before 2013, when they were not using CNC to cut 2 cav molds, the cavity size varied batch to batch.

They are 3-4 times the price of a Lee, but if NOE has what you want in stock, buy it. It'll be right, cast great and be best quality. I got lucky, I was casting for myself and a couple friends some years ago. We got off on a 44 kick and they bought a Lee 429 200 RFN 6 cavity that drops right at 431. It's been a good mould. I've several of their 6 bangers and every one of them casts well. I've not had good luck with the new style Lee 2 cavity, at the level I simply won't spend the money to get one. Their old style mould is a good mould. Their new style not so much at least in my opinion/experience
