Finally Discoved an Old Person PERK !

Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries set me up with :

    Freshwater Fishing License
    Saltwater Fishing License
    Small Game Hunting License
    Large Game Hunting License
    Antlered Deer Tags
    Non-Antlered - Doe - Deer Tags
    Turkey Tags
I was advised I could take wild (feral) Hogs , no limit .
Nutria - no limit and they would pay me $6.00 for each tail I turn in !

And I can I can use my Fishing License Fresh/Salt water to fish in Texas !!!

    My total cost ... $5.00 !!! All because I'm over 65

I plan to make that $5.00 up with the first Nutria I spot ... I will be $1.00 ahead and Nutria is good eats to boot .
For once a +65 good thing happening ...(beats a prostrate exam seven ways to Sunday)
You guys may want to check with local wildlife dept...you may can get a cheap liscense or have a reciprocal agreement with another state .
Until this year I always bought a 3 day fishing permit when in Texas ... this reciprocal license thing was very welcome .

Got my lifetime hunting and fishing licenses couple of years ago. Still have to buy tags, though. I don't think my fishing license covers salt water, I'll have to check.

I wonder if LA DF&G will send me all of those for Maine?

But seriously, that's a deal, $6 well spent. Good for you.

65 in Arkansas; seems like it was $55, but covers it all fishing and hunting. Available the calendar year you will turn 65.

I wish Michigan was like that. I get a break on some licenses, but the doe tag is still $20. Per animal.

Here in Mississippi got my lifetime Hunt/Fish license at 65 with 1 year residency for 5.00. Have enjoyed that privilege now for 10 years.
When I lived in Arizona and then Texas, as a working man, I bought each year the full bore Hunt/Fish combo's and stamps even when I knew I would have little time to enjoy the outdoors beyond a day fishing one or two times a year. I wanted to support wildlife management. Its the last truly honest form of recreation where we can touch our past.

In my state, once you hit 62 it is all free except for add ons. For instance, there are numerous tags and stamps that aren’t included in a standard license. You have duck stamps, quality buck tag, extra doe tags, etc.
Due to the price of primers, warning shots will no longer be given!

As long as I hunt on my land or my parents land
I can hunt and fish for free

$20 each for LT hunting and fishing in VA . Used to be free until they found out I was going to live that long ! Add-ons extra.

Always hunted the family farm w/o license . Never asked if it was legal !

I spent only $5.00 ... the lady told me I could take Nutria and they would pay me a $6.00 bounty on every tail I turn in ... I get to keep meat and hide ... not much to eat on the Tail so I'll turn them in for $6.00 ... I like this deal ... they pay me for shooting something good to eat !

    That's cool.

I'd double check to see if you need any stamps like we do for various kinds of salt water fish.
I can't see Texas Parks & Wildlife giving up those extra fees, especially for a non-resident.

Bought my first senior citizen's fishing licence this year. 5$ Hunting is a separate fee. Still not bad IMO.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

Senior license is not bad and we get $5 doe licenses in this part of Michigan. CWD area.

Here in Washington State, I have a Disabled Veterans State parks Pass and a Federal Parks Pass. I also get my fishing licenses for I think it was $18.00. Been a while since I hunted and bought turkey tags, but that was cheap too. Interesting though, I still have to pay full bore for county boat ramps. I'll have to check into that. I'm 82
