    I have noticed it when I pick up some used brass, just segregated and sell the different ones. Shooting BP , there will be a difference.

    I have roughly 100 Starline .45/70 cases, and have neither seen nor looked for the ring. Next batch I will definitely be on the lookout for them. Thanks for pointing this out.
