RCBS New Uniflow drum feels really loose

Picked up an RCBS master kit, secondhand, but unused not long ago.

I cleaned up the Uniflow and was messing with it and the drum feels really sloppy/loose compared to my other two Uniflows.

It will move side to side about 1/8", the other 2 have a tiny bit of movement, but no where near as pronounced.

Is this a new design, or a did I get a bad measure out of the box?
I will fear no evil, for thou art with me.

Mine is a little less but still noticeable. Shouldn't hurt as long as the outside diameter fits well and the holes line up.

Not a RCBS, but my new Hornady measure seems to have a bit more side play than my older one from the 80s.

Since the chamber in the housing is wide enough to compensate, it doesn't seem to matter.

    Side-to-side is fine.

Assure the Measuring Cylinder Bushing (#7) is held correctly in place by Bow Washer (#13) and Measuring Screw Lock Ring (#8) in the diagram linked above. There should be very little side-to-side movement when close tolerance parts such as these are aligned. Something is amiss.
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

The side to side movement is restricted by #7 Measuring Bushing in the slot in the body. I don't see the problem.

It’s the fit between the drum and the bore that would be a concern if it existed, because fine powders would leak out.

Test it out ... the proof is the measuring. Set it up and record weights with a scale 25 weighed charges should give you an idea of cosistency ... if it can't throw consistent powder charges ...
call RCBS and report the results ... I'm sure they would help .

I have 4 of them. 2 each with standard and small metering cyclinders. All have side-to-side play. None leak - even with Accurate No. 2 which is like dust.. All throw consistent charges for all powders except 800-X and some of the larger extruded powders.

The side to side is fine ....the outer diameter of rotor fit in the housing should not be loose but free to turn... I got my Uniflow in 1969 new ...
