    What have I got here??

I'm continuing to move along unfinished projects, but before I can do that I need to know what I have. When I bought it I thought it was some variation/version of a Martini action but I'm not sure. It is some sort of a take down rimfire action. Seems to be in good working condition but hard to check the extractor and firing pin function with just the action. I can find no markings other than a serial number on the front of the action.

Any info would be helpful as to what it is, who made it, value?? FFL or C&R. Coil spring suggests to me that it is not an antique. If it's junk I'll just continue to use it as a paperweight. Thanks in advance for any help and sorry about the last pic.

^^^^^^ He is correct. The model L is a hard rifle to find , especially in good working condition.
    Your action has some value.

The action is in great shape and as a complete rifle they have some value but since only about 3,500 were made finding parts to restore is just about impossible. Sometimes rare means valuable and sometimes not so much.

As to value for complete rifle here is a lot of four that sold https://www.rockislandauction.com/de...ssberg-model-l

Here is a book value. https://www.thefirearmsforum.com/thr...model-l.35812/

If the price was right for a wintertime project I would be interested since I have my own machine shop and do all my own work.
