    JSW Boolit Lube

I’m following Spencer & Pat Wolfs book to load 45-70 cartridges. 405 grain hollow base boolit from the Lee mold. The lube Spencer used is 50:50 beeswax & olive oil. That’s exactly what I plan on using. I don’t have a luber & will pan lube the boolits. My question is: Is the 50:50 ratio good for pan lube or is it too soft?

You want a softer lube for cold weather shooting and a firmer lube for warm weather shooting.
For pan-lubing, the ratio doesn't matter. Pan lubing is messy, but there are tricks to make it less messy.
