    6mm Remington

1970 or 71, maybe that's vintage by now.
Was rummaging around today and turned up the five dollar box of 100 grainers from Hasse Brothers in Llano that I sighted in with and got old lady Faulker the fat doe she wanted.

    Nice one!
I just finished loading a measly 36 rounds of 6mm Remington for my son, nephew, and friend for this years season. They are not good brass stewards!

I love a 6mm! Been reloading for mine/sons since 1985. Super little gun! Glad to hear others are still cherishing such a wonderful game getter. I’m still using VINTAGE 244 REM brass!

Now, so I fall into the thread……Got some old brown box M2 ball for the old M1 Garland. Even have some white box National Match 30/06, LC.

My 1st. center fire rifle was a 722 in .244 Rem. bought in '58 or '59 from Montgomery Ward for $75.00. Contrary to the information at that time it shot the 100 gr. spitzers OK. The rifle had a 26" bbl. It was accurate, but heavy.

When Remington came out with the 700 they had changed the name to 6mm Rem. & I bought one of the 1st. ones available (I think that was 1960). The 20" bbl. made for a lighter more handy hunting rifle & the 1X4 Leopold in Control mounts was the perfect compliment for the package. I killed several deer with that gun. My 1st. grandson borrowed it many years ago & that was the last time I saw it: it's his now (I assume).
