Got an old timer buddy I shoot with who has a mint model 57 and I would like to make some 41 mag ammo for him. Not hunting loads but good all around utility ones.( I would like to shoot it too.)

The first is a very nice wadcutter with Hollow base options from MP, followed by NOE’s copy of a typical 41 from H&G.

RCBS 41-210 is nothing to sneeze at
I agree---I have seven different bullet molds in the .41 Caliber; none of them beat the RCBS 210 SWC. For the cheaper route---the Lee offerings 195 SWC & 210-SWC-TLs are also excellent. The old 195 gain mold that I have cast them out at 205 grains + in weight and measure .413" in diameter.

I do have several molds for the 41, but the Lee 410-195-SWC is my favorite. It is also the most economical way to go and I just wish they would make it in six cavities.
A neat wadcutter by NOE based on the Lyman #358432 design but done in .413 diameter
it's listed as NOE 413-215-WC PB (413432)
Weight is 215 grains , there is a crimp groove and the boolit is not designed to be seated flush but to be seated like a SWC ... to the crimp groove with a front driving band exposed and short nose .
They remind me of the blunt nosed manstopper designs .
You can order it with 3 pins ... and cast a solid nose , cup point or hollow point with one mould .
Cast with the cup point and you have a wicked Manstopper , solid point is for Target and general purpose and the hollow point for a hunting load .

The boolit is very accurate in my model 58 ... I really like it !

This is one of my fav molds for the 41mag. Too bad its only a 2cav but great mold. If I shot my 41 a lot I would go to Accurate & get a 4cav 220gr swc & never look back.

In the early 80'S I noticed that Lee offered a 208 WC DC mold in the .41 Caliber so I bought one. It is quite delightful to shoot at 900~1,000 FPS and is very accurate. I also bought a 240 SWC in the same caliber....quite an intersting bullet to shoot!
I can't complain about the Lee TL210SWC. Tumble lubed or powder coated, it shoots better than I do from my Blackhawk. It would be an economical start if nothing else.

Why dont you just buy a few hundred bullets/boolits instead of investing in a mold, sizer die and other items for a gun you don't own. How many rounds do you anticipate loading for your friends M57?

Berrys has a pretty good plated 41 210 gr that is a hoot with 8 gr of Unique at 1140 fps or 6.5 gr Red Dot.
