    S&W "Holy Grail" pistol

    I finally managed to snag what has been one of my "Holy Grail" pistols. A S&W Performance Center model 646 in 40 S&W. Regardless of the amount of pistols rumored to have been produced in this version, Roy Jinks, Smith and Wesson Historian has stated unequivocally that ONLY 161 of the Performance Center guns were made between 2000 and 2003. It did NOT come with the case, but I can live with that.

    A friend of mine ( actually one of the few friends I have on this ball of rocks) gifted me my “ holy grail” S&W revolver earlier this year, a K38 target pistol. No longer able to shoot, he said it needed to be someone who would appreciate it. Boy, it is sweet.
    1979 new purchase, one owner!

    I have to be content with building a replica, only two of my grail are known to exist. I have not hit the lottery so I will build a copy.
