    Walt Berger has passed

Last night around 7:30 Walt went to the big range in the sky. He and Eunice are together again shooting on the big range in perfect weather with "0" wind. Walt was 92 years old and I saw him shooting not long ago at the bench rest range at Ben Avery.

I met Walt many years ago at SHOT. I always enjoyed talking to him,as it was obvious he was an intelligent gentleman. May he RIP!

I had a rifle for a couple years that Walt had a good bit to do with designing when it was built and loading for after it was built. I talked to him several times at the SS about the VLD designed bullets he came up with for this 6mm 1,000 yard world record tying rifle.
That was how Walt was, if you asked him a question and he got interested in a project, you might just get a couple boxes of 500 bullets in the mail, to try. New design, new everything, etc.
I made a deal out of the gate, if the builder wanted the rifle back, I would sell it back to him at the same price paid, within 24 months, alas he wanted it back.
RIP Walt. You made some good memories for me.
