NEF SB2 reciever: 12 gauge Parnder Bbl compatibility

I have an NEF SB2 in 270 Win. Will a 12 gauge Pardner barrel fit on my receiver? Chances everything will headspace correctly?

It's a definite maybe. You won't know until you try. Consult the Greybeard Outdoors site; the Handi addicts hang out over there a lot.

Barrel lug to frame pin is critical. If it doesn't fit you have to either remove material from the lug or shim it. I've done a few and it's not difficult. Patience grasshopper. Yeah the guys on GB will help ya.

Check that 357 over carefully. The barrel will say sb2, but the receiver is actually an sb1.

Not an issue at this point. Bidding went past my price range. There is an SB1 Pardner 12 ga available. Looks in good shape. What would be a reasonable “to the door” price?

There was also a 45/70 i wouldn't mind having. Again, too pricey.

I have a french lebel stock im waiting for from Fox stocks in Poland.

I have paid from 60$ to 120$ for complete shotguns of the H&R & NEF brands.

That being said I have also had very good luck finding a SB2 rifle action that a shotgun barrel locks up perfectly on.
Helps to have more actions to choose from as they do vary a bit.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

    Get right with the Lord.
    Get back to the land.
Get back to thinking like our forefathers thought.

May the Lord bless you and keep you. May the Lord make His face to shine upon you and be gracious unto you
and give you His peace. Let all of the earth – all of His creation – worship and praise His name! Make His
    praise glorious!

Not sure i can get the 12 gauge in that price range. Auctions tend to go up to full retail prices these days.
