What happened to Remington had nothing to do with the employees or the management, it had to do with the big conglomerate that bought them and then forced a multi million dollar loan onto the company. They of course pocketed the millions of the loan and literally forced Remington to go belly up trying to pay off the loan and maintain what quality they could. Remington is not the only company that got this treatment but it is a glaring example about what profit at all costs and a complete lack of ethics and lack of can do when exercised by the unscrupulous like Soros and his crowd. Profit is one thing, greed is quite another. my .02 anyway, james

TNsailorman nailed it. They also managed to sink H&R, Para Ordnance, and almost done in Marlin as well. I don't know the fate of Bushmaster.

H&R now belongs JJE Capital Holdings. The same company that owns PSA. Franklin Armory got Bushmaster.

Para belongs to Roundhill Group LLC, that has the license to build Remington firearms.

True. Our schools of "higher learning" taught tens of thousands of young folk to earn degrees as Masters of Business Administration. That means they were taught HOW to rapidly wring every drop of blood possible from the companies they controlled. It worked for short term profit but in doing so those "smart guys" (usually political/social liberals ... like midget Soros?) destroyed thousands of businesses and our national economy has suffered for it.
