    Vintage 44 special cartridges?

What options are out there for 44 special vintage casings? I'm looking for cartridges/casings that are earlier than the 1970's (earlier the better). Do you guys have any idea where I should start to look? I don't need that many but I would like some.

Are these going to be for display or are you planning on using them? 44 special is old enough that it was made with corrosive primers, which cause the brass to become brittle and weak. Be wary of that. Even still, I have a large number of 1942 production Denver 30-06 cases that are still in use. If its not broke, don't fix it.

I've had great look posting WTB ads here in the swappin and selling section. Most of us are more alike than we are different, chances are really good that someone has what you are looking for. If that doesn't bear fruit, I'd recommend a saved search on gunbroker or the 'bay that emails you whenever a new listing meeting your criteria is created.

I've got some DM 42 in use too. But they came as primed brass that was decapped before being loaded for the first time.
Too bad you're not looking for .45AutoRim, I've got 100 WESTERN still in use.
