i bought a brand new 312-160 tl from lee and cast over a hundred with it today, with my alloy it weighs 161 (perfect) but all measured 309-310....nothing was close to 312 which i wanted. anyone else have the same problem ? i did e-mail lee about it just now.
Powder coat them.
But really mine drops them at .312 with the right alloy.
sounds like the closeout mold I just got from lee the ads said tl310-158 but laser etched in top of mold it says tl 312-160. maybe the undersize issue is why lee is selling them on close out for 1/2 price
mine drop .312 try them if not fat enough beagle mold
I've had my 2-cavity 312-160 for quite a while...like 8 or 9 years...and it actually drops just a bit (less than 1/2 thousandth) under .314. Powdercoated, it's my 'go-to' for the Moisin. As mentioned previously, could be the reason those molds are on 'clearance'.
