    High Condition Bullard 40-65

I happened to come across this fine rifle at the local gun shop when the guy brought it in to consign. It barely hit the counter before I claimed it.

This is a real high condition Bullard 40-65 and I will be shooting it soon...

    Wow, that's a nice rifle. Good on'ya.
    If a 41 won't stop it, I wouldn't bet my life on a 44.

A fine product of Springfield, Massachusetts.
Shrapnel, a post with your latest find is never disappointing to see. Congratulations on acquiring a beautiful rifle.

I have a nearly identical one, that I have never fired. Will be watching for loading tips. If you can get Scott Jamisons books, they are a great history of Bullard arms.

An interesting tidbit of history, is that Indian motorcycles were made in the old Bullard factory.

Very, very nice! I've never seen a Bullard in person but would have scooped that one up in a heart beat. Congratulations on a great find.
