    32 Winchester special gas checks.

My buddy has a 32ws rifle and I am casting bullets for him. I ordered some 8mm gas checks from sages and they work. But they are larger than need be and cup the bottom of the check when seated. The amount of force required, stages the nose of the bullet slightly.

Is there a better choice in gas checks? We are sizing to .323 by the way.

Did a 32 Rem once . Used a Lee push through and 8mm checks .
I also found I 4350 with a plain based ACWW 323-175R2 Lee shot well enough to not worry about checks .

Ive tried several for my 32WS and 8mm checks are the only ones I have found to work for me. 30 cal checks were too small, and I could not find anything in-between.

How’s the hornady checks? Are they a bit smaller than sages?

Don't know if it would work, but NOE molds has a tool that flares gas checks. Call them and see what he has to say!

I shoot the RCBS 32170-FN bullet with a Lyman 2827268 .32" (8mm) gas check. Works great and the checks seat beautifully and remain on the bullets during handling and shooting.

I’m using Hornady gas checks for my cast 32 Win SPL projectiles. No issues with seating in my RCBS Libra-Sizer.

We have long known that base first checking and sizing could blend rifles bullets. That is why we size and check nose first. Use a Lee type press mounted sizing die. Then lubricate in a normal lube machine.
