Is the 300 Backout a good choice for a bolt action cast bullet rifle? Looking for accuracy of 1" or less at 100 yds.

I only use cast on my Rem 700 300 BLK.
Never got decent accuracy until I changed the original 1:7 bbl for a 1:12 bbl.
I believe the 1:7 twist was way to fast for cast.

Ruger American in 300 blackout shoots groups about that small at a 100 yards.
I have ar carbine in 1:10 and a single shot with 1:8. Both do fine @ 100 but get the slower twist IF you are going to push bullets fast. Bolt gun is fine, I just don't like them.
Whatever!
