Very nice. Where was this 30+ years ago when I could see the sights. I have two Hawkens and they are my favorite guns to shoot. But, I'm one of those purist that refused to put a scope on a Hawken, and bought a more modern fast twist side lock and put a red dot on it. It's a meat plow.

I think if you want a 1:28, you may not want a very large bore unless cape buff are on the agenda. most of the existing barrels that will fit the Renegade are minimum 50 cal so a rebore is going to put you in 54 territory. If your shoulder will tolerate that, then Hoyt is the guy.

Oregon barrel will rifle and build a drop in to order.

Oregon told me it would be a 9 month wait for a drop-in barrel. They are busy!

Rice barrels also does drop-ins but with a 4 month wait.

I just received my two TC barrels back from Bob Hoyt today.
    Both are .50 cal.
I had them Relined back to .50 cal.
    With a Slow Twist.
Now it is time to pack up the next two that I just want Refreshed.
I got these latest barrels back in just over a month.

Would like to see a report on that lined barrel. I ve had three bored by Hoyt and they are aces. What's his cost for the liner?

Try Rice barrels but dig deep in your pockets
