Agree with the above. I find that most can be repaired, the question is whether or not I have the knowledge, skill and ability to make that repair.

I repaired a break like that for a guy. I made inlets inside, and fit steel plates to them. Drilled a lot of holes in the plates for a mechanical lock, and roughed the wood for the same reason. It's lasted him a lot of years, and is still going strong.
The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

Bob Brownell, in his book 'Gunsmith Hints and Kinks' said to use acraglass. Put it in as well as you can and then use compressed air to drive the glass into all spaces. Makes a heckova mess so plan ahead. Cover the rest of the stock and yourself with plastic. Wear an eye shield. Afterwardss clamp using either C-clamps, spring clamps, or surgical tubing. Whichever seems like the better way. In this case I think I'd use clamps to hold the pieces together. As has been noted, make sure the wool is clean where the break is or the oil from years of gun cleaning will keep the Acraglas from adhering.
