    Casting my own

    Hello,
i cast my own bullets for all of my rifles pistols and muzzle loaders i have taken deer with both my modern rifles and my muzzle loaders. I prefer using my muzzle loadedrs because the black powder season in oklahoma is less crowded than the regular gun season. What have you all taken with your rifles ?

Mostly 45/70 recovered from wild pigs. The small one in the foreground from a head shot fox (25/20)

Hello stick, welcome to Cast Boolitd Forum! Like you, I enjoy casting for and shooting rifles, shotguns and pistol, although much less pistol shooting today than in the past. I agree that muzzleloader season is less crowded, and more enjoyable for that reason. These days I am usually hunting with one of my shotguns or my .54 caplock Renegade. I have particularly enjoyed learning to develop accurate roundball loads for the shotguns! Again, welcome aboard!

Quite afew deer with cast in various centerfires. Also a lot of small game with cast in .22 Hornet and some with .25-20.

I hunted the mozzle loader season here in Kansas because for a lot of years it married up with my work schedule better. Killed quite afew deer with cast in a Hawken and a few with my cast in sabots in an inline.

Welcome. I've yet to partake it that honor. My hunting season short. It's 3.5 hr drive, and I get 1-2 days a year for whitetail. No pigs for year round fun in PA. I would like to take a deer with my .500 Linebaugh at some point. Loaded down with 375 gr pills it will do nicely.
