    Uberti 1885 extractor

Has anyone else had issues with the extractor on their Uberti 1885?
Sometimes it pops the empty right out, sometimes it acts like it's not connected and stays stuck in.
    Thanks

    When I speak of:
45-70: that is a 45-70 Uberti 1885 High Wall Rifle
357 Mag. Rifle: that is a Uberti 1873 Carbine

    Hello rainmaker62,

I don't think the problem is your ejector, rather a tight chamber.
I have an 1885 Uberti High Wall in 45-70, no issues.
I also have a Uberti Low Wall in 30-30, almost every case needs to be pushed out with a cleaning rod.
I've tried factory ammo & my reloaded ammo, even tried different sizing dies.

I shoot only BP. Have used both grease groove and PP with same results; sometimes clean extract, sometimes like it's not even connected. Doesn't feel as if the empty is stuck in the chamber, just as if the extractor is not even engaging it (lever opens all the way). Have been wiping and drying the chamber after each round, so IDK.
I did take it all apart and noticed some burrs on the side of the extractor (that I cleaned up) and hoped that having those gone would fix... nope.
