We need to get you a better camera. Near as I can tell from the pictures it's a case mouth uniformer made by Pacific.

Joe, you might want to check the lens of your camera. That softness in the pictures could be from a dirty lens.

Could be a die for making half-jacket SWC's. The nose forming punch is missing.

Is the die body aluminum or some alloy other than steel ?
If so Pressman (post #4) has probably nailed it ... Pacific uniformer or neck expander .
    Anything on die top ?

    Steel, or steel allow.
    Nothing on top, its blank.
The price that moves is pretty much flush inside, no space for a shell.

The rod moves, but there is no room for a case to fit, see the below pics

Just a wild guess, but with no room for the rod to go down inside of a case, it might be a case length checker.

Not really for 'us' to use on a progressive, but maybe in the new ammo case manufacturing process
for a caliber specific pistol case, maybe 9mm or .40.

Not sure what it is for, but it’d tell you if a bullet was seated in an automated process.

I dont think the "plunger" protrudes far enough, it is at max length in one of the pics, about 1/4 inch

0.25 would be a heavy compression of black powder
Have to remember the case will have a full case of BP up to the bullet base with a wad underneath it and some charges with a grease cookie

It's about the same size, there is almost no clearance between the plunger and the hole, it's a tight fit.
