My favorite 22 revolver is my Smith & Wesson Model 34 Kitgun with a four inch barrel that I bought new on 1981. I have shot around 80,000 round through it and it only seems to shoot better with time. The double action trigger pull is silky smooth and shoots about the same if I were shooting single action. It's only quirk is that in order avoid leading it must shoot waxy lubed bullets.

    .

It's a tossup between my Colt Frontier Scout, my Ruger Bearcat, and my Ruger Magnum-only Single Six.

I only have one but it would be my favorite, a 1947 K-22, 6 inch. All the others got sold or traded as incomparable.

Smith 63. The K-frames have their place, but if you have to teach women & kids, the 4" barrel and target sights on the J-frame are AWESOME! Pretty much couldn't NOT buy this one.

A year ago I let my daughter talk me out of my old Heritage Rough Rider 5 5/8ths" convertable .22lr or .22wmr.

Well I was able to replace it with a similar Heritage only with adjustable sights.

Now I have a Ruger NM Single six in .32H&Rmag which I dearly love. But a .22 it is not.

I also have a pair of Bond Arms revolvers in .22wmr but while they are small and easy to hide, they are not as much fun to shoot as the Heritage.
I truly believe we need to get back to basics.

My only 22 revolver is a S&W model 17-5. Very accurate a on clay pigeons out to 30 yards. It’s so fun to plink with it.

My favorite .22 revolver was a Colt New Frontier Buntline Special (7½" barrel, adj sights) that I foolishly let get away from me 30+ years ago. It would outshoot some rifles.

My currently owned favorite is a 1953 S&W K22. Although it is heavier than a field .22 needs to be.

I wouldn't mind having a 4" Model 63 like Bigslug showed in his post.

I never really warmed up to the Ruger Single Six, it seems just a touch too big in .22. The exact same gun in .32 H&R is just about perfect.

Have several .22's, my go to favorite is the S&W model 617 with a 4" barrel. At real tack driver and good to teach new shooters.

Another vote for the S&W Model 63 4" kitgun. I've had it for 30 something years. Carried it for rabbit hunting, squirrel hunting, and creek fishing.

I only have one and it is not my favorite anything. S&W 317 with the 2” barrel. If I shoot strings at a moderate pace it will lock up on me before I’m through a box. Have to wait for it to cool to open the cylinder.

My one and only 22 revolver is a Dan Wesson purchased new about 30 to 35 years ago maybe more. It has a very good trigger both SA and DA.
